This past Sunday, Sept. 16th was the annual Cruz'n for Roses Hot Rod & Classic Car Show in South Pasadena with a slight twist...a Clean Air and Green Living Expo was added to the mix!  

BikeSGV hosted a booth to represent what many would argue as the "greenest" form of transportation, the bicycle.  Together with our good friends at Performance Bicycle and Henry the Wrench, we provided free bike valet, repair and maintenance. 

Folks of all ages including local council members participated in a very engaging conversation about improving public streets to accommodate not just the car but the bicycle as well.  It was great to hear about the many ideas for safer streets and healthier communities. 

Some notable highlights of the day included:

- electric car test drives

- film screening

- Revenge of the Electric Car

- The Right to Breathe

- home gardening workshops

- and of course the overall family friendly and neighborly atmosphere.
