ActiveSGV is partnering with the City of La Puente on the La Puente Mixed Use Master Plan to transform underutilized commercial spaces into vibrant, mixed-use areas. This initiative seeks to amend zoning laws to facilitate the development of affordable housing accessible to low- and moderate-income households and to encourage development near public transit routes, enhancing transit ridership and reducing vehicle travel.

Our involvement centers on fostering strong community engagement to ensure the voices of La Puente residents directly influence the planning process. ActiveSGV is committed to facilitating community workshops, pop-ups, and focus groups, along with developing and launching surveys. These efforts are aimed at gathering diverse community perspectives to guide the project development effectively.

Through these collaborative and inclusive activities, ActiveSGV aims to help craft a sustainable and vibrant urban environment that aligns with the aspirations and needs of the La Puente community, ensuring a future where development benefits all residents.
