The CalFresh Healthy Living (CFHL) Program is a federal/State partnership that provides nutrition education for individuals enrolled in or eligible to enroll in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
ActiveSGV is working in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Public Health to provide nutrition education and produce access to physical activity classes for the San Gabriel Valley and East Los Angeles communities through a variety of programming.
Through partnerships with community clinics and parks throughout LA County, Active SGV’s team provides free, bilingual (English/Spanish and English/Chinese) nutrition education and physical activity to community members. Additionally, our team supports the district’s monthly Produce Distribution services.
Our goal is to serve as a resource for our community to access free fresh produce, education, and physical activity, ultimately leading to greater access to healthy living. For more information and resources on CalFresh, click HERE.
If you have questions about the CalFresh Healthy Living project, please email Diane Velez at diane@activesgv.org or call (626) 415-8406.
