Community information meetings are underway for the Foothill Gold Line Extension, the first Measure M project out the gate!
Will the new stations be easily accessible via foot, bike or transit? Will they feature attractive amenities for transit users (e.g., adequate shade, public spaces, drinking fountains, public bathrooms, service retailers like cafes)? Will there be enough secure bicycle parking?
The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority will be updating the public on the latest designs in a series of meetings through August 7, a great opportunity to learn about the new line. Each meeting will have information on all the stations, so you can attend any to weigh in and find out more about:
- Stations – See the latest station layouts and 3D models
- Station Art – See station art components and how each city’s history is reflected
- Project Schedule – Learn the Project’s timeline and upcoming milestones
- Construction – Learn what to expect during construction in your neighborhood
If you can make a meeting, please let us know what you think about the latest plans in the comments below or by emailing us at bikesgv [at] gmail.com.
