This Earth Day and Earth Month, ActiveSGV invites the community to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle with activities that promote environmental awareness and well-being. From exploring eco-friendly transportation options to engaging in wellness initiatives, here's how you can join the celebration and make a positive impact:
Ride with GoSGV
GoSGV, a collaboration between ActiveSGV and SGVCOG, is San Gabriel Valley’s regional e-bike share program. This initiative provides sustainable transportation options for commuters ready to ditch their cars, reduce their vehicle miles traveled, and curb greenhouse gas emissions. Residents aged 18 and over in the San Gabriel Valley can sign up, choose from various e-bike options, and help make our communities greener! Sign up.
Bike Around the Emerald Necklace with E-asy Access
Go for a leisurely bike ride around the Emerald Necklace with E-asy Access. Through funding from Measure A and the Regional Parks and Open Space Districts, we offer two hours of free e-bike rides every weekend at Peck Water Conservation Park! This relaxing and engaging activity promotes environmental conservation and healthy lifestyles. It's a perfect way to appreciate the San Gabriel Valley's interconnected parks and community spaces! Join us at Active Streets: Mission-to-Mission
Participate in the car-free day Active Streets: Mission-to-Mission, presented by Metro and hosted by SGVCOG, this Sunday, April 28, from 9 AM to 3 PM. This event will transform five miles of streets in South Pasadena, Alhambra, and San Gabriel into vibrant public spaces for walking, biking, and skating, highlighting the environmental and health benefits of active transportation, as well as providing the public with an opportunity to connect with dozens of local sustainability-minded organizations and vendors. Wellness Yoga Wednesdays
