Ismael is a Program Associate for Active SGV, supporting its mission to create a more equitable and sustainable San Gabriel Valley. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach. Ismael was born and raised in East LA but considers the whole San Gabriel Valley his home.
Before joining Active SGV, Ismael owned a Chinese Bao business that did pop-ups all over the SGV, including the 626 Night Market and San Gabriel Dumpling Fest. He is passionate about the intersection of health wellness and environmental justice.
