Gabriela is the Program Coordinator for the El Monte Mobility Nexus Initiative, which addresses transportation inequities and environmental challenges in the City of El Monte. She is a lifelong San Gabriel Valley resident and the proud daughter of Salvadoran immigrants. Gabriela earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA, as well as both a Master of Urban Planning and a Master of Public Policy from USC. Driven by a passion for spatial equity and community-informed initiatives, her background includes community planning, program implementation, and data analysis focused on empowering residents to play an active role in shaping their communities. She is excited to contribute her experience toward fostering a more livable, equitable, and sustainable San Gabriel Valley. In her free time, Gabriela enjoys weightlifting, crocheting, playing video games, and reading.
