Dale Zapata

Since September 2022, Dale has been serving as a Communications and Engagement Specialist at ActiveSGV, applying his skills in community outreach, event planning, and graphic design to impact his local area positively.

Before joining ActiveSGV, Dale worked for the Metro Bike Share program with Bicycle Transit Systems in Los Angeles. Starting as an Event Coordinator and advancing to a Senior Marketing Coordinator, he contributed to various projects, focusing on marketing, social media, and event management. He also volunteered frequently with local bicycle advocacy groups, including L.A. Bike Trains and the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition. His work and volunteer efforts always aimed to connect people and bring communities together through the joys of cycling.

Dale's educational journey in English at Azusa Pacific University has provided a strong foundation for his professional path, emphasizing the importance of clear communication and understanding in all his endeavors.

As an avid outdoor enthusiast, Dale is passionate about biking, hiking, running, climbing, and camping. He cherishes the time spent riding through scenic trails, embracing the tranquility of nature on hikes and camping trips, and you can often find him at the local climbing gym. This love for the outdoors and physical activity complements his work life, providing a balanced perspective and a deep appreciation for community and environment.
