Amy J. Wong (she/hers) is a lifelong San Gabriel Valley resident who is passionate about advancing environmental and social justice. She has over ten years of experience leading community initiatives in the region and holds a bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley.
Amy started volunteering for ActiveSGV in 2014 and was a leading co-founder of the Women on Wheels program. Now, as a Program Director at Active San Gabriel Valley, she manages a suite of climate-focused programs, such as the Bassett Avocado Heights Advanced Energy Community and the COVID Health Project.
In addition to her work at ActiveSGV, Amy is an Environmental Sustainability Commissioner for the City of Alhambra. She co-founded Matilija Lending Library, a library and creative space dedicated to uplifting BIPOC stories and community. In her free time, she enjoys exploring local parks and eating at new restaurants in the SGV.
