Planned Giving at ActiveSGV

The ActiveSGV Legacy Circle

You've helped make the San Gabriel Valley more sustainable, equitable, and livable. Now there's a way to make sure that work outlasts any single gift — for future generations of the SGV.

Support That Outlasts a Single Gift

Many of ActiveSGV's longest supporters have been with us 10, 15, even 20 years. A planned gift — a line in a will, a beneficiary form — lets that commitment to the SGV continue for generations. It costs you nothing today, and it doesn't require wealth: nationally, charitable bequests run 2.74× larger than a donor's lifetime giving.

Three Simple Ways to Give

Each of these can be done without an attorney or an appraisal — often in five minutes.

Bequest

Name ActiveSGV in your will or trust for a specific amount, percentage, or remainder of your estate.

Retirement Account Beneficiary

Name ActiveSGV as a beneficiary on an IRA, 401(k), or 403(b) directly with your plan administrator.

Life Insurance / TOD-POD

Name ActiveSGV as owner or beneficiary of a policy, or as Transfer/Payable-on-Death beneficiary of an account.

The Legacy Circle

The Legacy Circle recognizes ActiveSGV supporters who have included us in their estate plans. Membership is simple to qualify for and never requires disclosing a gift amount.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be wealthy to do this?

No. Most planned gifts come from everyday supporters — a specific dollar amount or a small percentage of an estate is enough.

Can I change my mind later?

Yes. Bequests and beneficiary designations are revocable — you can update or remove them at any time.

What information will ActiveSGV need?

Just our legal name, Active San Gabriel Valley, and our EIN, available on request. No paperwork is filed with us directly.
